This 4 mile hike, a part of the Camino de Santiago, starts near the winery and takes you over the mountain to the delightful town of Bernkastle-Kues. Find a spot to eat in the medieval town square, enjoy the half timbered architecture, then take a 2-hour boat ride back to Traben-Trarbch.

Böcking Villa
Mittlemosel Museum
The Baroque mansion, formerly owned by the Trarbach merchant family Böcking, houses the Mittel Mosel Museum – where it gives us an insight into rural life in the 19th century, the history of the town of Traban-Trarbach, the history of Starkenburg Castle, and the fortifications of Mont Royal and Grevenburg.

Take a bike ride along the Mosel Rover
Borrow a bike from your hotel or rent one from Zweirad Wagner at the foot of the Mosel Bridge in Trarbach and take off! The very flat and forgiving trails along the Mosel are wonderful for riding bikes. Take a short ride north to Enkirch or a longer ride south to Klöster Machern for a beer and pigs knuckle. More rides here.
